I find this http://www.imaginingstaffordshire.org.uk/mt/mthome.htm. Very interesting, it links to historical and interesting sites along the Sow from it's source.


I stumbled across a map site once that had historical areas in Stafford landmarked, I didn't bookmark it & can't find it again so if any one has a link to that or any other Stafford history pages to link to, please share, I'm fascinated about Staffords ancient past I'm sure there is much to uncover.

If youve never been to st chads in the town http://www.bbc.co.uk/stoke/content/articles/2008/06/11/st_chads_stafford_feature.shtml it's well worth a look.

The carvings in this church are fascinating, green men, mythical creatures etc... Well worth a look, and it is one of the few ancient churches left whose ornate arches weren't destroyed in the reformations, I think because it was once covered over in plaster.
