I've just downloaded this app and it's excellent; cost: 59p
Lets you take 2 images after selecting light and dark areas and then blends the 2, excellent results and hand shake doesn't seem to be much of a problem. I don't think this works on the 3G and HDR is a feature on the iPhone 4 anyway.
