What Sofa failed to announce was that this was to be the first public performance of his 'Stafford Song', which, for those of you who are yet to hear it, is destined to become the official Stafford anthem. Fact. It's brilliant. He then also went on to play it at The Grapes, and by all accounts both were very well received! Get it recorded my friend. He also spoke to Chris from Jasper films about doing the video for it....then thwack it on youtube and advertise the forum too!

edit: Hang on a mo. Just realised when Sofa posted that. Last week was the first, so if you missed that, catch this! You won't regret it!

yeah, sofa and BBC were going on about this stafford anthem last week.. the rest of us forumites have yet to hear it :(

Aye, I too have heard the infamous Stafford song and I can report that it is indeed Brilliant :) Great lyrics and a sing-a-long chorus, can't go wrong. I think i'll be heading down Joxers tonight for a warm up to Saturday. Could even play something myself but I only have instrumentals, no lyrics! :P

It is indeed a fantastic song!! Well done Sofa - I had the chorus in my head the following day after Joxers - it almost makes me feel like Stafford IS the greatest 'town of all'...well almost, well after a few beers...!

for god's sake, yes pleeeeeeeease! some of us don't have the pleasure of living in the mighty Ford anymore, so have no chance of making it to joxer's to check it out :(

Cheers, I'll do my best, just gotta find a decent place to sit :P It was pretty busy last time but I'll try to get down earlier tonight.

It's a digital photo camera that happens to also do video, so the quality won't be TV, but it'll be fine for youtube goodness :D
