I heard last week that Johnny had died..... it seems to have come from a reliable source, can anyone confirm please ? He wasn't in The Yard for the Vinyl Sleeves gig last night (great gig again boys!) as he usually is which kind of supports the rumour.

I have also heard this from a reliable source, but I refrained from repeating it without confirmation. I certainly haven't seen him lately. It's a sad day, if it's true.

Local 'character' - bulky chap, long grey dreadlocks, attends a lot a musical events, you'll have seen him.

He's in the video referred to in this post - at the far side of the stage...

Yeah, I know who you mean. Always near the stage at the events at the castle. Shame, didn't seem particularily old. At least he seemed to have a fun life, can't really ask for more.

He was 61 and very young at heart i do remember him at the 'grot' early 70s always having a good time, related to the family biz in millbank, best thoughts and condolence to the family..........

I remember him in the 'grot' years ago too.When we danced around our handbags he would come and join in with us What great memories I have of those days
