Just for fun: With Bates Gun shop now sold, what would the forum like to see on the Market Square?

There a place in Lyme Regis that serves food daily but depending on the fresh local ingredients available that day depends what's in the menu , it's self service with homemade breads dips soups cakes and pies, quiches. People sit in long benches together and eat and chat. Just think people in Stafford would have to talk to each other for real !

if you think about what shops are the busiest in stafford town it the cafe's and the sandwich and cakes shops cause everyone has too eat.

Yup, the Internet can't provide immediate drinks and snacks. If you look at thriving high streets in any town there is a high proportion of cafes etc.

I suspect the thriving cafes also promote local shopping, but can't prove that!

With all of these "Master Bates" comments we could always dig up the old bogs underneath Market Square :D

There is a Stafford legend that there is a tunnel connecting the two.

I will investigate tomorrow and report back.

I guess I’m looking for evidence of a blocked up door on the side elevation (heading towards the old judges apartments)!

How do I edit this?
Having recently visited the one in Barcelona I'd like a branch of Maoz Falafel please.

It's like a more civilized vegetarian version of a kebab house, serving Falafel stuffed in giant pitta breads with all-you-can-eat-salad & chips, plus soft drinks (which in Spain includes beer...) which you eat perched on a bar stool, or take out to sit in a nearby square.

I second this - but then I love Moaz

Whilst not a veggie (I have cut back loads on my meat consumption and most days have Quorn or soya based food), that looks fantastic!

Am a veggie, have been for 30 years. Cheat by consuming cheese, & dairy! :xd: Shame I love the stuff so much. However like every lacto veggie, I have no right to feel that I have the moral high ground. No matter whether that is from an animal welfare, :chef: or an environmental perspective. :pig:
That choice for Bates 'Hunting, Shooting and Fishing' emporium! would seem to be a very welcome addition to 'ford,s eatery choices! :bravo:

I'd like "Son of Guitar and Son IV" - although having Eric in such close proximity to Joxters might result in some late openings/long lunches/early closures etc.
