...some twat has to go and farking spoil it.

as you may be aware, the first 2 weeks in my new house have been a total nightmare (http://www.staffordforum.com/viewtopic.php?id=301)

but, yesterday, things were looking good.

id got confirmation from the insurance bods that a sparky was gonna come check out the electrics, my dining room was going to be decorated for me gratis and i was gonna get new laminate floor in the spare room.

even better....id got through the water people and theyre sending someone round on sunday to look at the drains in the street and test the water in my cellar to try and find out where its coming from.

id made all my calls, changed my address with all the important people and was looking forward to my works do at the local dog track and spent the afternoon tossing it off and generally doing bollock all.

i got a lift home, showed my lift my new gaff (and they were rightly impressed- obviously) then i settled down to open my post.......

.....and had a note saying 'very sorry, im the person that knocked your front wall down by accident this afternoon in my car. please call me and we can settle the matter'

farking tosspot!!!!!!! im still so angry i havent phoned yet.

....but on the up side, my first dog romped home and paid for all the rest of my bets last night!

however, the other 2 dogs i chose on account of the forum were rubbish

dirty barry in honour of our own bobby and pork :pie: andears

At least he left a note. Most people would have just loved off.

well, i dont think the fact that the neighbours from across the road came out for a nosy and the neighbours from next door (who i share the wall with) were out in force helped.

but yeah, youre right- at least they left a note.

i just hope its not the flirt divert number!!!!

i've wasted many an evening this way :teef:

are you kidding?? i would have been out of there like a shot, as would many others, i would imagine.. they must be a fairly stand-up guy/gal if they bothered to leave a note!

they had an accident, and 'fessed up - don't be angry at them!! sounds like you're going to get a nice new wall for free..

excellent :D i can only apologise on behalf of my canine alter-ego for being shit..

yeah fair do's- but after 2 weeks of shit going wrong and complete upheaval....i dont want anymore.

weeeell, it was only a quid! :rich: the dog that won was called hannah's lucky. i only chose that because its my middle name and i was feeling anything but lucky yesterday! lol

in which case he's some kind of saint - not only did he 'fess up, but he's willing to take the fall for his missus!

granted, and this makes all previous comments null and void.. moving house is a ball ache at the best of times, the last thing you want is your house being demolished by a vauxhall nova

I'd bloody hope he has after 14 years. But since he's not been on here for over eight years we might never know.

Please look at the dates on threads and ask yourself if there's any point in dredging it up. Live in the present not the past.

Mrs Mudgie is forever accusing me of living in the past so that might be difficult.

I've got a time machine if that's any help. Quite cheap.

(I should mention you'll have to obtain the power supply separately. Shouldn't be that difficult to find two gigantic contra-rotating black holes in a tight orbit around each other. They sell all sorts of weird shit in Lidl and Aldi.)
