Has Shorties closed for good Sandonia...

Used to get my hair done there myself but got fed up of turning up when it was supposed to be open and was always closed....... plus the staff were always there one week, gone the next and the owner was a bit loopy.... (think she had a breakdown)...

I now use the one on the newport just opposite the cinema.

Hi when i was in stafford i always use to use the gents barbers on eastgate st, admittedley (sp) you sometimes had to wait a while but they were brilliant. Im just not sure what there called. There were two men who cut the hair, an older gent and a youngish man. In fact i thought they were that good i use to travel from suffolk back to stafford just to get the lads hair cut!!Sorry cant be more help.

the one by the westside entrance, just by the grapes? that's where i used to go, many years ago.. was run by a MILFy type with red hair, i think, who looked a bit like lisa scott lee :heyhey:

this was going back a bit, though.. i bought myself some hair clippers about 10 years ago and haven't been to a barber since lol..

No MILFy types in there now that I have seen. :(

They did used to have a small cute Lithuanian hottie in there but she was gone when I went back... probably traumatised from cutting my barnet.

When I were a lad I used the one above Supercigs on Princes Street, behind the Co-op department store. I'm pretty sure it's still there as I recall the door being open when I walked past a week or so ago, but, like DB, I've used my own clippers for the last god knows how long.

There is a new barbers on Bodmin Avenue called Barbers@ST17. My husband took my little boy there a few weeks ago and it was fine. As long as my son gets a lollipop he does not care where he goes! Its shut Sunday and Monday, can't remember how much it cost but i don't think it was too much.

Try roonys next to the cinema open 6 days a week it has 4 chairs so you dunna have to wait too long which i seem to recall kids find a bit irksome....
