Don’t worry guys, Theo specifically asked Boris about flooding ages ago and he even knew about Sandon Road

I’m sure they’ll sort it any day now

"I have every sympathy for the residents of Stafford who have been affected by flooding and for everybody who has been affected by flooding in the latest bout. What I can say to my hon. Friend is that the Environment Agency is working hand in glove with her local authority and other partners to find a particular solution to the flooding in Sandon Road and Sandyford Brook."

She isn't though, is she. Anybody with a depth of local knowledge knows it's unlikely to be fixed as the problems are way deeper and she probably knows that, so passes off as "making a great effort!"

That was Boris, who apparently personally knows about Sandon Road which wasn’t even mentioned in the question

Did my shop at Aldi at around 9 this morning. It was almost eerie driving onto a half empty car park as people obviously weren't chancing the rear half with water rising.
With today's and tomorrow's (THU/FRI) plus Saturday's forecast I'd think Sandon Road and Kingsmead will add to the endless diversions and inconveniences around the town.

The bi-driectional causeway has re-established now, for the time being, although the various 'road closed' signs, that arrived in the middle of the flood, are still around, but someone has moved the yellow plastic fences just enough to allow vehicles to transit the site.

Disappointing, I had hired a punt this afternoon and now will have to cancel.
