Carol, St Paul's church is on the Lichfield Road not far out of town. St Leonards Avenue leads off the Lichfield Road up to what was GEC MRI

Thank you, I pass places all the time but dont know the names.

Run I regularly go on with the dog.. Through Rowley Park, past rugby club, cross fields to Castle. & round it, down to Derrington through the community wood,on to the rail line, round the Millennium Green, back on to the old line then home!
Organised a Forum Walk on this route a month ago, but no takers, their loss! Cos I LOVE it !

Once came across BBC filming 'Monacled Mutinere' down there many moons ago. Using it for a scene where one of the the McGans playing a soldier was escaping persuars! In the event scene took seconds, but looked good! As you indicated, great little spot, & obviously been recognised by others! :)

I love the old proto-Industrial buildings circumscribed, pretty much, by the Sandon Rd and the Stone Rd - Marston Rd way, that sort of thing.

- all of those sorts of things.

Outside of the Chase, and some other pockets already mentioned, i am at my happiest in the woods @ the Castle.

Inspired by Withnail's industrial spaces, I offer the building in St Patrick's Place which, at one time,
was owned by the only company in the UK which was licensed by the Pope for the production of
habits for nuns and clothing for priests.

This image has been "tone mapped" a hell of a lot and I offer no apology for that.

One of the Sandies family ran it in the 60's, I was loaned out to them for a while,
cutting black cloth for nuns habits into 3 yard lengths on the top floor.

Sad that so many parts of Stafford have had to be changed 'for the better'. Market Square would be such a jewel if it wasn't for the Santendar building for example.

Nixon Garden Neatness
My garden, my allotment and my work place and all of Victoria park because it reminds me of when my children were young and when we used to spend hours in there.

I love Riverway, I used to hate Riverway when I was about 11 because it was such a long walk for my little legs and I had to walk it most days to get to school. The tree lined path, the open space of the field and the river is a lovely walk when you are grown up

Any tree lined space in Stafford has my vote, it really is so important to the character of a road/street, to have trees lining the road.

Enjoying a drop of red.
The view from The Bridge Over The River Sow overlooking the Borough Council building is a particular favourite, as indeed is the car park by the building and its olde worlde smell of wee. If only a wrecking ball or two had accidentally strayed from over the river but, as is so often the case in Stafford, a great opportunity was missed.
