as i am an ex pat from luton in beds i was wondering if there are any more peeps from there if so would love to hear from you ,i moved to stafford 5 yrs ago this month and have loved every minute of it since,i would never consider moving back or awayfrom stafford,would love to see how those people or indeed any ex pats find stafford .

Went to Luton on a few occassions. I'm a Herts gal - home counties

I wouldn't go back either. Is it me or has it gone down hill back south the past few years. My home town is a dump now compared to what it was yonks ago (Hertford). No offense but I've heard Luton's gone a bit poo. Any truth in that?

just last week i was at my grandparents who live in luton and it did look a little bit poo,
parts of it looked ok but alot seemed run down and derelict, stafford beats luton anyday

I've just had a brilliant idea for a game - 'Town Trumps'. Stafford would be the winning card every time, obviously. You could have points for things like number of tramps/nutters per capita and how many kids there are outside MacDonald's on a Saturday afternoon.

when i went to the town centre stafford on saturday their was only 1 chav outside, i dont think stafford is that bad for chavs really, anybody checked out chavtowns.co.uk theirs a report on stafford on their, even if it is exaggerated it makes interesting reading

Not from Luton, but I'm from South Wales, and my hubby is from Wiltshire - we're both pretty impressed with Stafford - it seems a nice mix of stuff and things. We feel very at home here.

My home town has gone so pants that MacDonalds closed down. You know a place has gone to pot when Mc D's goes.

We should get tonnes of bonus points - prison, St George's, thing that looks like Back to the Future. I think there should also be bonus points for the Vets that has moved down by JC Computing by the dentist. If you take a careless glimpse of the signage outside, it appears to be the only dual purpose vet / dental surgery going. Pot luck the reception desk?
