Looks like they got some of the new lane markings done too when I went through this morning. I thought that the works were planned to take until December but at the moment it's looking like they'll be completed way before then.

I wonder if something is ( not ) happening on the southbound? Foregate Street and the Queensway are totally chocker at the moment, in the southbound direction, and there was talk of chaos at the station....

Ha, blooming V festival!! My partner had trouble getting to work in birmingham this morning even though he left at 7 as he always does!! And its just taken me half an hour to get through town from esporta to junc 13! think I'll leave the asda shopping til tomorrow!

parents and the school run= every working day of the year!! (except the 6 weeks holiday)

Yeh, it is meant to bring lots of money into Stafford so I really don't mind!
I managed to come all the way from stoke though no problems, then as soon as I got to Esporta that was it!

I left at 7.15 this morning for my daily commute south and apart from the queue in lane one for J12 the traffic wasn't too bad. Traffic cameras currently showing qeues almost back to J15.
Spoke to a work colleague going to V this morning at about 10.15 and he was on M54 from M6 direction and hadn't moved an inch for about an hour. He left Brum at about 8.00!
Dreading the drive home tonight.

I do feel for you, I have told my partner he may as well leave now to stand chance of getting back at normal time ... if only he could!
