I hear the malabar is changing to mela lounge:

"Stafford's Malabar Indian Restaurant is changing - it will be just like the Malabar you know and love, only better!

General Manager Abu Baker and the team would like to thank their loyal customers for their support since 2002.

The warmth and generosity of heart from his customers has given Abu the confidence to now take on full ownership, allowing him to do more than ever!

From January 2013 the restaurant will be called Mela Lounge -- just like the Malabar you know and love, only better!

Mela Lounge will have exactly the same great team behind Malabar.

Abu will now be able to expand the menu to bring you even more great dishes, including new desserts from local suppliers.

Abu says "As the manager of Malabar for the last ten years, I have made so many wonderful friends in Stafford. I am now taking this great opportunity to become the 100% owner of the business, as I am confident I can not only continue to provide the excellent experience we are known for, but also make it better!"

Please 'Like' our Facebook page -http://www.facebook.com/MelaLoungeStafford - and follow us on Twitter @melastafford for exclusive special offers and competitions.

Abu and his team look forward to greeting you at Mela Lounge!"

Had a meal in Mela Lounge last night for the first time since it changed name.

I've got to say, the re-branding seems really confused, and seems to have happened for no good reason. The food hasn't changed, the plates and décor all still say Malabar and there's really no discernible difference.

It was pleasant enough but there was a wait of at least 40 mins between ordering mains and getting them and the food just seemed underwhelming for all involved.

Narvana still wins for me.
