I really don't see how this is a positive move , yay get rid of one of the few green areas in the town centre, maybe leave a tree and add a few hanging baskets.

Unimpressed with the councillors who let this go ahead.

The issue has always been is that's it's never really been anyone's garden, and at the same time they've not been allowed to put tables and chairs outside because that's a emergency access road.

I would mind if it was a space that was used in another way and I do like trees, but I also like outside seating for pubs so I think this is a win really.

Bring back the market square mines & the garden won't be needed as a toilet.

Yes, and the toilets, and maybe the busses and the taxis, and we could do with that old drinking fountain for when the pubs are shut.

I've often seen a woman sat at the bar of the Market Vaults reading 'a good book'.
