Has anyone seen the new Jackson statue at Fulham FC??

I like "the king of pop"s music as as much as the next man but:

- does anyone else think this is a terrible statue?
- would you want this outside the Rangers (or inert your chosen club)?
- have I seen a smaller version of this available at poundland?

All I'll say is

They told him don't you ever come around here
Don't wanna see your face, you better disappear
The fire's in their eyes and their words are really clear
So beat it, just beat it

You better run, you better do what you can
Don't wanna see no blood, don't be a macho man
You wanna be tough, better do what you can
So beat it, but you wanna be bad

Just beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it

So, it's Gary instead, then?.
Am I wrong that I listen to Gary Glitter still? I turn me tunes up and still sing along to him. Personally couldn't stand Jacko.

I saw Gary in the early 80s at the Victoria Hall. He wasn't really my scene, but he was a tremendous performer. He had phenomenal presence - like a cross between Liberace and Hitler.

His ability to control a crowd was what I was particularly impressed by..

I am afraid I much prefer the Moore / Peters / Hurst statue outside West Ham's Boleyn Ground, but with I imagine Fulham fans think that will Al Fayed's money that he has thrown at the club over the years, that he could stick a statue of Wonder Woman there!
