Milford Park Housing Development

The plans have probably been drawn up miles away from here and the designers have probably not even visited the area. They just design developments for maximum profit and care little about the area so the misspelling of a road name is not a big issue for them.

Extremely disappointed by the numbers of people who did not attend the meeting at Walton Village Hall last night.
So when the development is built and you cannot get an appointment at the GP's surgery or a place for your child at school, and and you are trying to get in to Stafford Town, don't complain! :ohno: You can now leave feedback on the website: http://www.milfordpark.co.uk/

like it or not they need to be built somewhere. as we now have a local plan in force which states minimum 7000 houses to be built in stafford town and 10000 in the bourgh by 2031 expect a lot more to be built

That's all well and good but... The problem lies in the fact that neither County or Borough councils recognise the fact that the road infrastructure needs to be improved in order to sustain such development.

You can't anyway at Weeping Cross so no change there.

Or sit there for over 2 hours for the drop in. :ohno:

Didn't I read something somewhere recently that they want to relocate to the old Police HQ along with various other services like care for the elderly?

The consultation meetings with Hallam etc are misleading and help the developers! Recent meetings like this for other developers has lead to such comments at the planning stage as "support from the Community / Parish Council". The only time you can protest is when the Planning Application is in.

We can, of course, be completely confident that the leader of the council will do everything in his power to resist inappropriate developments proposed by Hallam, First City, ISE, Inglewood, etc.

From Radio Stoke interview with Cllr Edgeller at Baswich meeting:

Radio Stoke: >> The Leader of the council is a director of one of the companies that is putting forward an application for here - will you be communicating to him the concern here, because he's also a councillor around this area?

A.E.: >> Of course we will... I mean he's a councillor on Weeping Cross ward. He's fully aware of the situation.

I bet he is "fully aware of the situation" - Inglewood cut down trees and submit a Planning application before any formal decision on the EDR route behind Saxonfields.:strange:

It's a scandal and an insult for Stafford, and would be an embarrassment for the Conservative party if the government didn't seem to have a rule that you had to have a property development company to be elected.
