I swear if one more person insists that mindfulness is a magical cure all, that will solve all of my problems, I might just have to hurt them!

I have mental health problems. Some of those problems involve over thinking, over analysing, examining in minute detail my thoughts, actions, words. Just in case, I am misunderstood, could cause upset or offence, seem stupid, attention seeking etc etc etc. This alone on a bad day makes me rather unwell and these chirpy bright sparks who haven't really ever even been depressed think that intentionally doing these things will help me???

In effect they are telling me to analyse my analysing, think about my over thinking, examine my...well you get my drift. Are they trying to drive me crazy? Well crazier lol
I decline, politely, attempt to explain but they just look all blank and sulky. 'Well it works wonders for me', they tell me 'but if you aren't prepared to try...' Dear Gods! If I had a broken leg, would positive fecking thinking heal it?
Aaaargh!

I heard someone once say when they have negative thoughts they say in their head the the the.... And it blocks out the things their brain is trying to think about.
