MISSING PERSON APPEAL - Can you help?

Police in Stoke-on-Trent are appealing for help in finding a missing 68-year-old man. Officers are growing increasingly concerned for Anthony Brian Clarke who was reported missing earlier this week.

Mr Clarke is usually known by the name of Brian and he is described as white, about 5ft 8 tall, slim build, grey balding hair, and he usually dresses smartly when out.
...
Inspector Mick Eyre from Staffordshire Police said “We have conducted a number of enquiries to locate Brian but we are getting increasingly concerned about his safety. Mr Clarke may be driving a silver coloured Mercedes C180 car registration MW 55 OBC and may have headed into Derbyshire, the Lake District or the North Wales areas.

I urge anyone who may have information which could help us find Brian to call Staffordshire Police on 101.”

Shared this on Facebook, although I'm always suspicious when its the police rather than missing persons who reports it.....

Sadly when the police report it, it always seems to be more than a simple 'missing person' case.....hope he's found safely.

I thought that it seemed there was more to the story than was being revealed for the time being.

There's more about it on Staffordshire Polices Facebook page today, text is to small for my phone to deal with though, the only info that I can see is that the police think he's in Derbyshire and have asked the public to keep a look out in rural Derbyshire and rural Staffordshire.

Still seems a bit weird though, missing people are usually reported to be venerable or haven't got their medication with them...just seems a bit out of kilter, especially with the new rulings they bought in about missing people.

A bit like the poor lad who died in Newcastle-upon-Tyne whilst covering a report on what its like to be homeless, there they mentioned two people had been arrested for the suply of drugs... but why mention that if he died of hyperthermia?
