Mobile Phone Mast proposed next to Walton High School

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
It's on the pavement, a good distance away from the school on the Lichfield Road. Other masts have been put up in similar locations so can't see why this won't happen.

Lichfield road?

They rejected one on the co-op car park in Wildwood, they rejected one next to a church on Baswich lane and now want this one right next to a high school.

It is not right next to the school. Look at the map.

We all want our mobile phones to work and they won't work without masts. Masts need to be fairly localised in order for coverage to be sufficient to the needs of the many. The very same people who complain about this being 'near' them will be the ones complaining to their phone providers that the signal round there is rubbish and 'something' must be done.

I have to disagree. It is next to the school and a church which is what the majority of other objections were for the other two locations mentioned. I agree people moan about coverage but my point was that other similar sites have been refused and so why go down the same path?

Would it help if it was painted green, like this one on Beaconside?

Just outside the RAF, and it does look like part of our air-defences.

Disguised as a tree

I remember doing Music and Movement at school - for one session we spent a time impersonating various forms of wildlife and domesticated animals, ducks, cows, elephants, etc.

The final thing we were expected to do was 'become a tree'.

I'll never quite forget the shock of the lad next to me genuinely asking me, out of the corner of his mouth, "What noise does a tree make?"

As the crow flies it has to be a good 150 metres from the nearest school building with a Church in the way. If you are saying that having a mast that close to a school will be detrimental to the health of the kids then you also need ban the kids from having mobiles. Can't see the church will object as they won't be able to see it from there.

I can see that the people living in the house it's going to be in front of might not be best pleased.

Where would you suggest a mast be put round there in order to meet the needs of demanding phone users? I'm sure if a location could be found that wouldn't cause objections everyone would be happy.

Obviously if you object to mobile phone masts anywhere, you should by law banned from ever owning a mobile, or even calling anyone who has one.
I understand that many would find my policy extreme, but not as extreme perhaps at branding rail protesters to make sure they can never use a train again, and preventing road protesters from ever driving, using a bus, cycling on or even crossing a public highway ever again.

There is a damn good reason why the OMRLP rejected me...

Probably being a bit thick here but what's OMRLP?

Is there any research to suggest that -
a) Mobile phone masts pose a risk to health
b) Mobile phones pose a risk to health
c) Mobile phone masts pose a greater risk to health than mobile phones do
?
I don't have a mobile phone so under the Toble defined remit i am entitled to give a shit. And yet i do not.
