I could'nt find the gardening thread... I know there is one here somewhere :ninja:

My neighbour and I have a mole. He/ she is sticking to the edge of the garden at the moment but I fear a rampage right across the lawn is imminent.

Can anyone offer advise to get him/ her to bugger orf?

Mrs Dogg wants a harmless solution. I am in favour of a Final Solution and the tell the Mrs. that the mole has gone on his/ her holidays

You need something like this Scoot:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sonic-Mole-Repeller-Batteries-Model/dp/B000XZC9F6

One of the more humane ways of getting them to vanish, rapidly, and no need for any poisoning / lacerating etc

I love this review:

Don't buy this product, on receipt one of the units did not work and the one's that did power up are completely useless. The moles are dancing a jig around and digging more holes than ever. Since I put it in the ground the little buggers are wrecking my garden at twice the pace. This sonic load of junk does not work so please don't wast your money...

Wasn't this on the news not long ago due to watchdog or something highlighting that not only do they clearly not work but the alleged science behind them is complete BS?

I've never tried it, but .....

Mole Plant : Euphorbia lathyris

So called because some folk have found these to have the property of deterring moles where planted; commonly known as Caper Spurge. This is a handsome growing biennial which can self seed.

It is said the roots exude a secretion making worms unpleasant to taste (have to say I’ve never eaten a worm) - moles find the worms unpalatable so move on elsewhere! A handsome plant.

Plant at 4ft spacings for best effect.

I think my hubby will possibly be along soon to tell you but i seem to remember him telling me a tale of a mole from the green trying to move into his parents garden. They flattened all of the mole hills and kept them flattened, then moley got a bit peeved and went away.

Wasn't actually aware of that one Shoes, but judging by Wizard's find it might well be true :/
