normally backups run essential services like chillers, they dont put out enough to run everything so as to open the store safely

A certains supermarket somewhere does, & it brings everything back online- albeit very slowly & the lights seem to stay dim for an age, I think it happened twice last summer....

It's a bloody good job B&M don't have freezers. I went in there for the first (&it'll be the only) time 2 weeks ago. It was a coolish day & it was like a sauna in there. How anyone can work in those conditions is beyond me. I had to retreat to the Vaults for an old smoky.
