Hi everybody!

I'm originally from Birmingham but grew up in Wolverhampton. I currently live with my mom but need more space for me and my 22 month old daughter. I've e recently looked at a property in Cannock in West Chadsmoor and it seems lovely however after doing about of research everybody seems to hate living in Cannock! My opinion of the area from Birmingham was it was more rural, nice walking and bike trails and that it would be a nice place for my daughter to grow up. Can somebody give me an idea of the place am I making a mistake to move to Cannock!

Thank you all opinions are welcomed :D

I've previously lived in Heath Hayes, Cannock which is one of the better areas in Cannock.

In my opinion Cannock town centre and choice of restaurants and pubs is poor but it is improving and will improve further following the Mill Green Development.

Chadsmoor has got a bad reputation because it does have a few rough areas but these won't be as rough as compared to Birmingham (or Wolverhampton). Its not a bad area to live in.

There is a fantastic choice of curry houses in Chadsmoor, so if you like Indian food you will be spoilt for choice.

You will be living on the edge of Cannock Chase which is fantastic.

I was born and bred in Stafford, so I prefer Stafford to Cannock.

Hi,

I lived in Cannock for 20+ years, Like most places it has it good parts and bad parts. However the very worst parts are unfortunately in parts of Chadsmoor. The area that includes Benion Road and Redhill road are to be avoided. This doesn’t go to say there are decent parts around Chadsmoor, just avoid close proximity to these if you can.

Where I'm looking at is about a mile away from thsoes roads... So not right next to it but only 14 min walk away according to Google.... I think I need to do abit more research before making an official offer.
