Moving to Stafford?

Stafford is a perfectly decent place to live and like most places of a similar size it has positives and negatives. I've previously lived in nicer towns and much worse cities and can say Stafford is comparatively safe and quite place with low crime, enough shops and places to eat. Honestly the biggest negatives I have encountered is the traffic, which can be annoying.

I live by junction 14 on the way to Eccleshall and find the area very nice and the people friendly.

If you're just going to use it as a base to commute then save the petrol and live closer to work would be my recommendation!

Hope this helps :)

For all your rambling, if you had read the original posts from @Hann007 you would know it isn't for consideration given that her partner travels all over the place.

Do keep up!!

@Hann007 we moved to Stafford from Stoke 11 years ago. I work in Oldbury and would even think about living in that neck of the woods (well maybe a nice part of Stourbridge).I hope you find what you want

@Hann007

Kyoto49 really doesn’t like Stafford and can’t see any positives in it at all.
She just sees the worst of everything, so like @rudie111 says, you’re asking the wrong person.

Stafford has its good points and its bad points. Even if you don’t want to live in the town centre itself, there are loads of lovely places on the outskirts and lovely villages near by.
Lovely parks, lovely countryside, decent schools, good transport links, decent house prices and friendly locals.

At the end of the day there is a world of difference between you and @kyoto49.

You don’t like where are you living but are making positive steps to change your life, to improve your circumstances and to be happier.

@kyoto49 doesn’t like where she is living but does nothing to change her situation, because moaning about it for years on end is an easier option.
