Excellent.
Get next door in the City Arms if you've got time.
And you're less than a five minute walk from the Old Monkey, Circus Tavern and Grey Horse on Portland Street, all Proper Pubs.
Regarding the Manchester pubs you've mentioned here ;Yes all really great pubs but I have avoided the Circus since COVID because it is so crammed despite usually meeting friends there before the game.
We also use the Bull's Head by Piccadilly quite frequently before catching a train home.
So, @Mudgie and everyone else, what can you tell me about Stafford/Staffordshire most haunted pubs..... Why do so many appear to be haunted? Is it because they've been there years and years so have lots of history, or a place where hangings took place, or because of the clientele?
Give me some interesting facts about pubs!
I didn't say ghosts, they could be haunted by evil spirits & anomlays. There's no such thing as ghosts.
There's no such thing as evil spirits or anomalies, either.I didn't say ghosts, they could be haunted by evil spirits & anomlays.

All just stuff and nonsense or marketing.
Shouldn't you be getting pissed and saying 'hello sailor' on your lads night out? You'll be saying there's no such thing as slimy green blob aliens with strange experimental probes which they use on people after abducting them when they're on their way home from the pub next.
Yes, caught out, with ghosts, polterguiests, and anomilys....
Weren't pubs used as court houses at one time?
SHIT! YOU'VE SEEN THEM TOO?You'll be saying there's no such thing as slimy green blob aliens with strange experimental probes which they use on people after abducting them when they're on their way home from the pub next.
Naughty, but nice!Tut, tut, that's very naughty and shame on you
In answer to your original question every Stafford pub has at least three spirits, they're called vodka, gin and whisky.
