Glad I decided to tidy some drawers out....found a forgotten 80 euros in an old purse . :)
Excellent - I once found five £20 notes under a machine that that had a disc issue - I took it to @wmrcomputers and the journey fixed it. The cash would still be there otherwise.

Always keep your drawers tidy.

I had a tidy up and got rid of a load of unnecessary receipts from my wallet - and found a stray £20 note amongst them.

I have just retrieved the twenty quid from the blue bin!

Regarding the patio photo , i'm looking to mask the back fence with a couple of very large pots and looking for tall plants to mask the view into the area.
i can only think of pampas grass but if anyone has any good suggestions feel free to let me know.

( i dont really do plants , weeding , gardening without i have to so my knowledge is zero in these matters ;) )

Now on 9th day of antibiotics, 8th day of waking up feeling super good and had no booze for 8 days . Getting a bit worried that this unusual 'feeling really well' feeling since starting on the meds isn't going to last .

Pharmacist has told me that I can have 'a' cider on my weekend away, but don't want to spoil this getting better feeling ('A' cider for me would turn into a few ciders .... do I stand there bored and sober whilst everyone else is partying, or join in the fun and suffer the next day? Hmmmm....:hmm: )

I don't think it's just the medication at play. It's amazing how hard your heart works when you've had a bit to drink. I wear my watch with a heart rate monitor on all the time, and the nights I've had a drink my resting heart rate is about 20BPM higher than the nights without.

Had to drive into Holsworthy (where I used to work) this morning for a dental checkup. About halfway I got into a traffic jam of sorts. Down here that means half a dozen vehicles !!! …. This was caused by a herd of cows being moved up the road in the opposite direction. Now in a town or city, in a jam caused by roadworks or whatever, you'd be munching the steering wheel and turning into a Terminator style murdering psycho machine !! … but out here you're watching the cows walk by on a beautiful Spring morning and actually enjoying being delayed. ( I pulled my tongue out at one particularly curious passing cow … and … I shit you not, it did the same back !!!)
I wasn't late for the dentist (I always add half an hour to any ETA) who was a new guy, and he was a Terminator style murdering psycho machine. But I'm keeping my mouth shut on that one. (Get it ? Get it ? … I should get paid for these jokes. ) :teef:

I had to make way for a convoy in Hextall Lane.

Got in to see the Dr. I have a chest infection, which I'd guessed. He's prescribed me antibiotice for 5 days, and told me to buy a bottle of Original Night Nurse (Other cough mixtures are available), because I need drying up! OoooerMrs!!
If it helps me sleep at night, I'll be getting 2 bottles.
Well! The antibiotics seem to be doing sod all, I'm still crackling better than a bit of pork destined for the Sunday roast.
On the plus side, I've never slept so well in yrs, that Night Nurse is the future!

RANT WARNING!!!

I've got a horrible cold, had it since Friday evening. I've been feeling so unwell I've actually had to sit and watch the house fall apart around me because for once I've not been able to do everything I'm expected to. It's been quite scary really watching the degeneration, I'm hoping in the worst case scenario they would eventually pull themselves together and function. I still feel like death but after sitting till almost 10 last night I figured as no one else was going to offer to do food I'd better sort it, gave a hint about food and asked if he wanted anything in particular or was there anything he really didn't want? Got assured no, no, anything is fine. Dragged myself to the kitchen, made a bacon and cheese omelette for husband. Felt too ill to bother for myself. Bought it in, he takes one look and tells me he can't eat that, especially at that time of night and he doesn't like it anyway. Since bloody when? I even bloody asked! So I'm a bit sulky and you know what he can bloody well starve in future. They don't need a wife and Mother they need a Nanny.

Walked faster and faster along the canal towpath from Radford to make it to Hazelstrine bridge before the barge, which was keeping up the same pace beside me. I won :D
Pretty sure they were breaking the speed limit trying to keep up with me. They commented about my power walking as they sailed under the bridge

Actually got hubby to come clothes shopping tonight after our walk, to get him kitted out in nice smart clobber. Bit of a panic and sick feeling thinking my car had been nicked when I came out of the shop and it wasn't where I thought I'd left it. Such a relief finding it hiding behind a big van further along the carpark

Spent the last half hour stuck up high, after climbing to reach the top shelf of the fitted wardrobes.
Hubby was downstairs on the computer with his earphones in and couldn't hear my shouts for help...
After thumping the wall failed to get his attention, had to resort to throwing things on the floor to make him finally realise something was up.

Got told off for climbing in the first place after he'd helped me down ( and I still never found what I'd been searching for )

Never was any good at diving off the wardrobe ... :D
