So very sorry to hear this news. It’ll hurt, it’ll hurt such a lot. Eventually you will be able to remember Alfie without it hurting so much.

Sorry to hear the sad news.

At least he's not in pain anymore and knew he was loved so much.

Middle son surprised me at work today, when explaining to colleagues that he's one of my children they asked me which one?

"The middle one" I said... :yay:

    Apparently they meant his name...

Tidying sons old bedroom ( the dining room stuff got slung in there to make room for hubby's office stuff) found what looked like sweets in his Japanese drawer. Thought I'd better whattsapp a photo to make sure they actually we're sweets before I tucked in....
Cough sweets! (3 years out of date, but in desperate times might come in very useful...)

    Advice required.
Have sanded our steel chimnea down ready for summer.
Does anyone here know whether black lead (Zeebrite) or similar would work better than heat proof paint?

It's got to be worth a try, though it will be subjected to higher temperatures than a stove would be.

It may be that being washed off by rain could be a bigger issue for it.

Opened up the front door and found this on my doorstep. A lovely thought from our lady vicar.
A little bit of kindness does so much good and it quite made my day.

One of our rear neighbours has a penchant for burning stuff right at the back of the garden, which of course leads to everyone around getting the smell of smoke into their homes

During a pandemic for a respiratory infection, clever.
