I've just had an email from SBC asking me to confirm the Electoral Register details for my address.

    Fair enough.

On the second page, containing my email address as my Contact Details, I have been asked to add in my email address in another box, lower down, so that they can email me a confirmation of receipt of my response to the email that they have emailed me, with an existing record of my email address in it...

No one is forced to pay the license fee. If you don’t use BBCs services, don’t pay it. Its not a tax or a subscription.
During lockdown I am watching less and less live television and more streaming. It will change and as I still use the BBC I happily pay. I stress, if you don’t use the BBC at all, don’t pay.

I have noticed that the crows don't seem to be paying proper attention to the current situation.

They seem to be unnecessarily concerned about catching Corvid-19.

Spent far too much money on some new running trainers at Run and Ride yesterday, did my first 10k in 11 months today. Way too hot to be out though.

I prefer to run in the mornings, anything above 16c isn't fun!

I normally run in the evening but it seems like it's only going to get hotter.

I used to, but after a few bug swallowing incidents I stopped if possible. They really mess up your PBs!

Plus I run much better empty, not sure why but I don't eat before running if at all possible.

I put fuel into the car for the first time in four months. I didn't really need to, I reckon I had another month in the tank.

I took a quick tour of the mountains, where the weather turned out to be better than I expected.

Looks like Stafford car boot on the long stay car park from my window here.
There's got to be at least 50 maybe 60 cars, it's all the young pups showing off their wheels.
As posted on Facebook, there's no social distancing whatsoever, yes they do look good and there's been a lot of time, money and effort put into them.
But they won't be able show them off if they catch Coronavirus and die!

Sometimes car enthusiasts really don't do themselves any favours.

Is it me, or is there fly's of all kinds swarming around stafford?

I know it's summer and all that, but I can't remember it being this bad.

I understand that it has been Flying Ant Day, could that be what you have witnessed?

The ants in our garden are not flying yet. There are definitely lots of insects about, good for pollination.

Flying ant day here too, but doubt they would make it as far as Stafford.
