How much is a stamp these days?

Do they still sell them from machines on the wall of the post office in Mill Street?

Can you still get them with a king painting made by Tasveer from Newport Road?

We had one yesterday too, I'll let the sender off though, it arrived in a parcel they were sending me so it was just sensible really to include it. I have put it up though. Mainly so that I don't lose it. I may or may not have found unopened cards this summer from a couple of years ago that I'd 'put safe for later'. Sadly I'm sure of the dates as one of the included froms have been gone about that long.
I'm not sending cards as usual to most people, might still have enough in for my girls to give to their friends. Everyone else gets a personal Merry Christmas and I make a donation to a charity instead. I found half a box of Woolworths cards from back when you could buy their big boxes in the sales in January. Ahh I miss Woolies.

I bought a hand painted bauble that was delivered on Thursday. We've put some string up around the fire and hung it from there. The OH is vetoing getting the decorations out of the loft to add to this.

We had a potted tree last year so that's coming back in; because it's small I've got a lot more baubles than will fit on it.

65p for Second Class. That's thirteen shillings in real money.
No, I think the machines, that most recently vended 'books' of a dozen stamps, have gone.

Last time I bought a book of stamps from there, the young lad told me how much they were. I had him repeat it, I was only after a few stamps not the whole ruddy Post Office!

Today, I realised that I've been nursing the milk in the fridge for quite a while now and a review has revealed that I actually bought it three weeks ago tonight.

It still seems to be OK, but I've decided to replace it with new now.
