Just pay it into your own account, never had an issue doing that as I’ve had my dad do it in the past when I was a youngster

Antibodies usually means last 3-6 months maybe? Could be either though.

(I am not a virologist)
Not sure it allows you to pay a cheque in someone else's name into your account?

Okay I may be misremembering as I’ve only cashed one of the things in the last decade because HMRC lives in the dark ages...

It’s possible he may have taken my debit card to the bank and done it into mine... and I may be thinking of the fact that the signature doesn’t matter and people have signed it Mickey Mouse before now

Busy few days helping the Mrs with reopening her shops. 8am start yesterday with an 11pm finish and back in this morning for 8.30. The worst thing was having to pretend I knew what I was doing. Anyway this evening jr and I rewarded ourselves with a nice walk stroll in the sun along the beech. He even facetimed his mum, who is elsewhere for a few days to rub her nose in it...

Bottle of wine in a bit with a couple of Asda pizzas.
Livin' the dream.

I would seriously hope it doesn't.
I have, accidentally, paid in two 'unusual' cheques.

One had the payee's name completely blank - I was meant to write that in myself, to save the hassle of them struggling to spell it - then I forgot.

The other was not signed at all - I noticed this and I meant to get them to sign it, but then it got paid in by accident with another cheque - I realised the next day and confessed to the counter clerk who I had paid it in through - "We'll see if anybody else spots it and then sort it out, if they do" - nobody did.

I frequently pay in cheques with variations of the spelling of my name.

Paying stuff in at another bank, for someone else, the chap in front of me was asked to sign a form - "Which signature should I use?", he asked the clerk, who was a bit stuck for an answer...

Enjoying a drop of red.

It's nice to know our financial services are secure.

An alarming amount of things rely on people writing their name fast and inaccurately on a bit of paper in a way nobody else can but also being able to replicate it perfectly every time

A good few years ago I paid by cheque at a supermarket checkout. The operator wasn't happy about the signature and called over to the manager. He asked "Does it look like the signature on the card", "Not really" she replied, "That's fine then" was his response.
How is one supposed to fit their signature on a silly little slip that is only 1cm high?

At one time I was spending a lot of time working in archives looking at records well over 100 years old and recording lots of the dates. During this I was contacted by the bank who said that they were paying on my out-of-date cheques but they would prefer it if I remembered it was the 20th century not the 19th when I was writing them. Think that the banks in Cambridge were used to weird things.

As for the electronic graphic pad things that delivery chaps have, I wouldn't be able to pick my own out from a selection of random squiggles with any confidence.

I don't think I've ever signed anything the same way twice.
In the old days, people would sometimes advance to positions way beyond their literacy, and use a thin metal stencil to create quite standardised signatures.

In Japan they have stamps, I believe sometimes both individual stamps and family deal stamps.

I’d be more concerned if someone replicated it perfectly I think. Last time I was challenged on it was when I collected a new card from the bank... 8 years ago I think? I had last submitted a signature when I was 12 so it was pretty different to my current one.

I forgot about those because of the last year... always drew a line

I remember going ashore in Japan to buy my first electronic calculator. Two decimal place LED for doing the ships radio accounts. The girl behind the counter used an abacus to calculate my change, her fingers moving like lightning. I started to wonder if I should buy one of those too. (Some years later I did in China, purely as a curiosity.)

Just rescued a baby bunny!

Cat was rather proud of his catch (just had it by the scruff)

Scooped it up and popped in back on the burrow!

Cat is now on lockdown to give the poor thing a minute to recover.

Cat is not impressed...

Aaand that's twice now...

The rabbit is officially called Lucky!

And the cat officially hates me...
