I'm not a happy bunny, actually fancied going out, so we went to the pub down the road for dinner. Half way through we found ourselves eating as quickly as possible and leaving to escape the riot of pissed up women celebrating a birthday. It was 8pm they were off their faces getting louder and louder and they were cackling! :o When another bunch of 10 joined them it was unbearable. Sad to say I was out less than an hour and that's with the walk there and back. :(

I am amazed that people will chuck that sort of real money at UK establishments, it's like reintroducing National Service and getting people to pay for it.

The fees for an EU student studying a masters at Sorbonne are €250 and similar for an undergrad course. Beggars belief anyone would pay 9k to study in the uk.

Boiling oil?

No if you invest in a place you get incentives.

Surely you must remember passports for sale ? It's still about.

Interestingly if you google 'passports for the sale' the top hit is a link is by a uk rag saying how passports are for sale in Europe...

Err yes....

The U.K. has a scheme which caused the London housing market to go mental in 2014. Basically if you invested 2 million you would be given residency. Attracted lots of people....
Of course now the UK is leaving the EU this easy cash for the UK government will dry up...
Interesting how the gutter press doesn't mention that our government had been doing this for years.

Last day chilling on our balcony.....Just seen yet another person being stretchered off the beach and rushed off in the back of an ambulance. :(
Scary the number of incidents we‘ve witnessed on these last 2 holidays ( and realise as well as an old phone to ring emergency services if needed, Ehic cards and copies of passports, insurance docs better carried round with us than locked away in the safe as they usually are!)

Well, I started off today at 4am, with a car covered in an eighth of an inch of ice and the air temperature at a mere 1°C, to find it steadily warming up through the day to the balmy heights of this afternoon.

Put the new pond filter in place last night, the table I used to support it turned out to not be such a great idea. Now resting on a concrete monstrosity I made from blocks this morning, that bugger aint going anywhere this time!

With any luck the fish will be in next weekend :)

Cut down a 24 foot high tree today, well all the branches,
just the trunk to cut soon as I have recovered.
