Dropped the missus of at Rowley hall today so it's dam quiet here,
still I'm sure she will be on the phone soon as she comes round,
meanwhile the catering round here has gone downhill very quickly
I mean, beans on toast!
And the sinks full of pots already, they'd better fix that knee quickly
or I shall have to do some cleaning myself (Shudder).

Once you know she's recovering well (which I hope she does by the way) treat yourself to a few nice takeaways :)

I shouldn't worry. He seems like a talented lad. I expect we'll be seeing quite a bit of him on the TV in years to come.

Ah, thank you, that's kind of you to say.

I do hope that you are right....I have to keep stopping myself from saying "so when you going to get a proper job then?"

He's not on TV now, they had too much footage so they've cut it.

Never mind :soz:

That's a shame @Carole . But as @proactive says , sounds like we may have a chance to see him on TV another time in the years to come . :)

I've got a better chance of actually getting to sleep tonight, now that the plumber and fencing bloke have both got back in touch tonight. Hopefully our one and only loo will be a properly working loo again on Saturday, and new fencing (thank's to Doris deciding she didn't like our old one! ) erected in the next couple of weeks . Time to relax with a few ciders.....:pint:

He's on TV a little bit, they sometimes use him on BT sport now and again....but it is only a small clip. He was on Radio 5 live last week for about 20 minutes talking about football.

He's just trying things out at the moment with the comedy and the football.

He's a presenter on bluemoonrising tv which is a YouTube channel for Manchester City fans and then he's still doing his stand up comedy and doing gigs around the country.

He's just put on 92 shows at The Leicester Comedy Festival (Jokes On Us) he wasn't performing in them, he just booked the acts, arranged the venues, got the brochures and flyers printed.

He's just worked a 12 hour day for the last three weeks without a day off.

I've got to hand it to him, he's got an incredibly strong work ethic, and hats off to him for at least trying to achieve his dream.

Something really rather lovely happened last night at the show "Hickory Dickory Murder".

After the show finished I went on stage to thank everyone for coming and to do the raffle.
There was a gentleman in the audience ((Norman) who comes to all our shows and who I knew was 92 that day so I thanked him for choosing to spend his birthday with us and I gave him a card from all the team.

Then I drew the first ticket for the raffle and a man came up to choose his prize....he went straight for the hamper which was quite large with food and wine, wrapped up with cellophane and a bow.

He picked it up, walked over to Norman and gave it to him and said "Happy Birthday"

Norman was overwhelmed with this mans generosity and came up to the stage to say that it was his best birthday ever, he was in tears, people in the audience were wiping their eyes.

It was just such a special moment to witness kindness like that.

Supposed to be coming home today so I hovered and tidied up all the house,
Now they say she may have to stay in, I'm not happy, I could have left the
layer of biscuit crumbs and bits of bone from the dog and magazines
and plates and dirty glasses by the sofa for another day. :pie: :pint:

Look upon it as a dry run so you can get it done even better when the time comes.

Every silver lining...
