How did Mr Lucy get on today?21.7 degrees in Chasewater this morning, I almost wanted to jump in too...View attachment 10991
Nearly the same with our Sophie...Molly the cat has been showing her age recently, she can no longer jump up on the utility worktop where her bed is without an intermediate step. She hasn't been about much the last few days and I thought the heat was really getting to her. I've just been for a walk up the garden and counted 4 dead rodent bodies, so I shouldn't have been too concerned.
I happen to know that @peggy was part of a three-person team that each did one of the three sections. How did Mr Lucy get on today?
I got the feeling that the swimming bit would be the best bit!
I absolutely can't imagine running and cycling in today's heat. Husband said that he thought that there would be loads of heat stroke casualties.
Just wondered how it all panned out.
Although last night she stayed out all night, we can't find her anywhere. Which means she's not had her medicine, which in turn means she'll be ill for around a week when she does turn up.Nearly the same with our Sophie...
I hope she's okay.Although last night she stayed out all night, we can't find her anywhere. Which means she's not had her medicine, which in turn means she'll be ill for around a week when she does turn up.
There was this - http://www.staffordforum.com/xf/index.php?threads/creartivity.20389/ - but, I think it was more intended for publicly-accessible installations.Question for forumites, is there a good thread anywhere for posting art or other creative projects you're working on?
Has she turned back up @littleme ? Hope she's ok .Although last night she stayed out all night, we can't find her anywhere. Which means she's not had her medicine, which in turn means she'll be ill for around a week when she does turn up.
Yes, she appeared in the garden at mid-day, so I grabbed her, she's now back in her crate*, with her pills & food so hopefully only missing one lot won't do too much harm.Has she turned back up @littleme ? Hope she's ok .
Well done to Mr @Lucy and @peggyHe did it in about 6 hours 20. his target was 6 hours. He was ahead of schedule after the bike but he was very sensible on the run and walked up the hills. I managed to see him at the castle both times then actually ran through the alley to Castletown with him on the way down. I've never seen him so tired though.
