Need a bigger camping trailer

As the forum is usually the font of all knowledge I am giving you guys a try.

We have a small trailer that we use for camping.
Its sturdy and does the job but its a bit on the small side for us and new ones are too expensive for us to consider at the moment.
The corners and top are formed by metal strips with the sides in a plywood type of material.
From memory its about 4ft wide, 4ft long and about 2ft deep.

Do you think it would be easy / cheap / legit to extend the height by another foot or so?
Or even better extend the length by another foot or so.
Any ideas who would be able to do this for us?

I will get a photo to add once I get home.

Thanks guys

You could just fabricate a 'creel' to drop over the existing trailer, which could then also be removed when not required. It would be necessary to take the raised centre of gravity into account when towing, of course...

Sort of like this...

..but with a similar panelled construction to the existing structure.
