Ok could explain the whole story but il just cut to the chase.

Im after a little program that will change desktop wallpaper automatically be it via changing the registry or some other way, that could sit in the startup folder and everytime you log on to windows it will reset the desktop wall paper to a default wall paper lets say c:\wallpaper.bmp.

Anyone know of such a thing? or if you know your programming could code me 1?

Ideas comments???

Thanks

A quick Google produced loads of apparent possibilities - this looks plausible to me, but I know nothing..

There are others.

Vista / 7 do this as stock.

If you have windows xp you can take advantage of the active desktop.

For this you need to make a simple webpage which displays a full page image and changes it every x seconds. You then enable active desktop and set that html file as the bg. As every time you log on the page will be 'loaded' from scratch, the routine of pictures will start from number one.

As for making a webpage to do this, you need to speak to one of our web gurus on here, of which there are many.

Good luck.

I'm guessing this won't apply to you if you're trying to do this on a home PC, but in networking environments where you want to enforce a certain background image (or any user preference in that matter) you'll find that you can set this in an Active Directory user or group policy.

If you have no idea what Active Directory is or group policies, this probably won't apply to you, so use Timeflies' suggestion.
