Just thought

The chinese that used to be Props is a really decent sit down scran fest!.. can be a little squeezy on the pocket tho depending on what you order but the food is delicious..

Another vote for the hollybush here, went a few weeks ago and it was great. Always busy but you never wait more than 45 mins for a table, even on a sunday. The entire pub is no smoking too, which I love, but you can smoke in the large beer garden.

Otherwise for chinese try Essence of the Orient (Bottom of Sainsburys car park), indian I can def recommend Malabar (water street, halfway between the nags head and the coach and horses).

Went to Spaggo's for my mum's 70th, very good in its present incarnation.
Despite what some say I still think Pastiche offers good value.
Either of the two Balti's on Mill Bank are excellent food wise, though the decor leaves a little to be desired if that bothers you.
Don't really do country pubs so will defer to others with better knowledge on that, but all I would say about The 'Bush is; don't eat for the day before you go unless you are a real trencherman/woman. Not my scene.

Alternatively go to Stone for the absolutely fabulous Italian up the main street, who's name escapes me.

Out of all the curry places round here the food from Spice Delight is my favourite, although its a takeaway not a restaurant.

We went there a few times since xmas and it was realy good for a change. Try the chinese next door, very good (they have a buffet - but made to order, eat what u like). if u wanna drive for 45 minutes try; 'The Greek Restaurant' in Tamworth - very good with live music and Greek dancing at the weekends.
