A bit of a drive but I would reccomend Buffet Island in Newcastle under lyme, loads of chinese food to choose from and really good service. To top it all as well as the usual fruit and ice cream puddings they have a chocolate fountain - mmm x :)

Ooooh this is my kinda thread. Spice Delight is indeed the best takeaway curry you can get yer greasy mitts on in the Ford. Nishad's and Dilshad's are bob on for curry restaurants, and between Nilshad's and the main Post Office (...but not for long...) there's the Royal Bangkok Thai restaurant. The decor is dead cheesy, with plastic trinkets and fairy lights etc (which we really liked!), and the food was quality. Essence of the Orient (as mentioned by Tek-Monkey) is well worth a try. Crispy Lamb in Kung Po sauce is the mutt's nuts.

If you're looking for a proper good standard meal, No. 5 Gaol Mews is my recommendation. Top stuff. It's a bit of a squeeze on the wallet, but the food's excellent. Last time i went there i had roast breast of Pheasant in a red wine saucey thing, with seasonal veg. Mmmm. I think it's time for a bacon sarnie...

It's always worth remembering that Stafford College have a restaurant (sp?) on the top floor that they use for trainning chefs and serving staff. Good food at a good price and you're helping someone into a job too.
