New beauty classes for teens

Hi all

If someone in your family is interested in beauty, maybe with a thought that they could one day go into beauty therapy, please let them know about two new classes/clubs for people in Years 9,10 and 11.

Saturday Junior College
Our Junior College clubs in subjects like cookery are incredibly popular. Now people in Years 9-11 can attend Junior College in Beauty Therapy. Learn professional techniques, get tips from the experts etc. Four weeks, starting 10 May Saturdays 10-12pm.

Beauty After School
This is running on Tuesdays from 4-6pm and again, it's aimed at people in Years 9-11 at school.

Both of the above take place in the luxurious setting of the beauty academy, here on the campus. For more info visit the Enrolment Centre or call them on 01785 275607.

I had my nails done for the first time by Stafford College students, they were well trained, friendly, professional and all seemed to be loving the course!

Its such an amazing opportunity to be able to study a skill that will last a life time rather than just sit in a classroom and memorize facts!

My daughter is very keen on this but I can't find the details on the web site, even under junior college?? How much is the course? How many weeks does it run for? What sort of things are covered?

You were quite right. I had a look on the website and the info had been added, but only as 'Saturday Junior College' with no reference to beauty. I'm really grateful to you for pointing that out. I asked for it to be changed this morning and now the info re costs and weeks is in a more useful format, here: http://www.staffordcoll.ac.uk/junior-college.html

I also asked what kind of things will be covered in the Saturday course. It is all the basics of beauty therapy - things like facials, manicure, pedicure, make-up etc.

I am afraid that it's no longer possible to join the after school sessions but there are places up for grabs on the Saturday course, starting on 10 May.

I hope your daughter is able to take part and that if so, she is able to administer plenty of pampering treatments to you, afterwards.

Thanks for your help. Sadly it was the after school course we were most interested in, daughter really liks the sound of what they are covering! Will this be running again please after school and if so when?
