That makes sense as a huge coffee shop selling weak tea, disgusting coffee and overpriced, unhealthy, sticky shite appears to be a NT trademark. There has been a suggestion that the entire right hand side of the farm 'quad' (looking from the farmhouse out toward where the playground isn't) will be converted into a cafe - ie what is/was the cafe will be extended along that entire side.
One suspects that the rumour mill is running out of control here, though, so it might be prudent to approach such suggestions with a degree of caution.
Having said that, i very much doubt that the farm will ever return to being anything like it was before. I wonder what the total Guinea Pig population of GB was in 1805? There must have been some of the little feckers here?

Buns me dear!Sticky shite?
Interesting read, thanks for posting. I think the National Trust does sterling work, although it's clearly not perfect! I like that it's starting to diversify away from stately homes. Not a big fan of them myself, and I love that the back to backs and places like that are now also worth conserving.
