New riverside car park

Does anyone know if the car park on the old Riverside site open now? The barriers have looked open for the past few days but I've yet to see any cars on it.
From the looks of things Im guessing it's finished now and not all going to be tarmaced. The wooden posts/fence only seem to be on the none tarmaced area, I assume this is to mark out parking areas where there isn't tarmac and hence can't paint lines.

I have seen the odd car parked on it, but can't remember exactly when it was. Could have been Saturday night.

I've seen a car parking and someone paying at a machine. I think they need a sign on the road to say it's now open, as with there being area's which are just hardcore many people will assume it's still under construction

I can confirm the car park is open.

(Contrary to what I may have written earlier, the parking enforcement is not being carried out by the Borough Council.)

Is the developer then going to run the car-park and are they going to charge the same as the Borough Council? If they undercut that could be fun and great for us! Obviously the developer needs to recoup the investment put into the car-park - I can see it being a five year investment.... No developments there then - where is our new cinema going to come from?

Well if the old Tesco is now to let again, riverside is a car park, the plans for the back of Sainsburys have been shelved and the old St Georges site doesn't seem that busy, I'm guessing nowhere!

A short while ago everyone wanted to put a cinema in Stafford, now no-one does. Thank goodness we have the Gatehouse cinema club which shows some really good films. It's worth signing up....

Well if the old Tesco is now to let again

I thought I saw a banner up on the corner of it, but just assumed the banner was advertising something else nearby. If it bacame a shop again, where is the access from? (sorry, I never saw the old Tesco so don't know).
