No, that bit makes sense - Revolution is going into The Littern Tree and that shop front (it appears the Littern Tree only ever had the address 'Riverside' not number. - it's 'unit 18' I can't find.

I also can't find if anything's going into Central Appliances or the other half of her old shop.

You're right @Wormella , the Litten Tree didn't have a number. I was number 1 and 2 and I think Capital were 3 and 4.
The original plan though was to build shops back to back with openings facing the new council offices, not sure if this is still the case.
Also isn't Nandos going the other side of the River under the cinema that isn't built yet? Maybe when they are built those units may include number 18 as they are also 'Riverside'

She's normally in the know though, so will be able to confirm who is going into The Tavern.

The only thing I can confirm about the Tavern, as I still don't know if it is a secret, is that it wasn't Coast.
The person who told me what it was going to be was the new owner of the restaurant going into the Tavern. Unless of course, he was talking shite haha

Good job a certain someone has blocked you, not sure they would appreciate this :)
Totally get you man :bananafunk:
He isn't blocked anymore, I have just chosen to ignore his infantile jokes which you seem to find funny ... whatever floats yer boat I suppose ;)
@Katniss , get a sense of humour duck. @John Marwood might derail the threads, crack really daft jokes, but he is seriously well loved and respected by the majority of people on this Forum. He doesn't come on here and moan all the time, unlike some.

I have got a sense of humour but it doesn't involve smutty jokes and piccys ... I get what you are saying he is like the village idiot on this forum and everyone loves him. However if he says something insulting to me I will respond in kind. In my real life I have always spoken my mind and there is nothing I wouldn't say to anyone on here that I wouldn't say to their face .... I wonder if John would be the same in his real life or he just likes to say things on here he wouldn't dare say to anyone in real life.

Not to mention he's the most glass-half-full, optimistic and cheery chappy you could meet.

Just looked at this menu too. Looks a bit pricey for stafford, especially for burgers, pizzas, and chicken,

I agree, the menu does look a tad on the steep side.....Wonder if the menu will be adjusted slightly in price to be in competition with the other establishments?

Nando's will be one I shall be avoiding like the plague....

You mean the establishments we already have in town or the ones that are on the way?

Both really, but mainly the new ones on the way.

I noticed on their website that the menu is somewhat different depending on where in the country it is?

looking around in Stafford and at the current restaraunts I think the new places will struggle if the overprice themselves

Pastich do great value lunches and dinners
The sun and the swan do good value steak nights
the bear and the market vaults do great burgers at good prices

I wonder what else these new places can bring?

Even cheaper deals?

But the restaurants will be right by the 'big' shops.

And people are lazy.

They'll find a market pretty much regardless and attract people into the town. Some of those people will venture forth into 'Old Stafford' and spend money at our existing independent places.

Everybody wins.

I hope you are right because I have wondered if these new food outlets will take some of custom from the existing restaurants.

Instead on concentrating on the new shopping centre they should be thinking of how to fill all the empty shops and bring new customers in. You only have to look at what happened to Dudley when they built Merry Hill to see what I mean.

Personally I'd much prefer to eat somewhere independent and inst a corporate chain.
tend to find the food is way better and priced well too.....plus its supporting local places too, like the vaults and the Bear etc.

I am with you on this - but it's not even difficult, it's almost ruddy impossible

I am presuming The Vaults is still a wasBanks's now Marston's owned premises - which is a PLC - current share price - 153.70

So your/my/our Stafford pound ends up largely in GodKnowsWhere

As I understand it Joules Rose and Crown - Market Drayton - are owned in the main by the Co-op Bank - which is 80% owned by Hedge Funds
