On the way home from work tonight I noticed that the new coffee shop/wine bar is now open in the old bank on Greengate street. It must have opened this afternoon as it wasnt opened when I went to Starbucks earlier!
Its called No. 15 Coffee House - not sure if they still plan to open as a wine bar in the evenings but I'm thinking the coffee shop during the day, wine bar in the evening idea is not exactly an exciting new concept and to look at the place - albeit through the windows it looks like it's got zero atmosphere. I will of course reserve judgement until I've been in but to be honest it looks plain and boring. We'll see.

I did notice some lights and activity today - but it never occurred to me that it was actually open...

Just been round. Yes you are right JC, it looks bare and empty. No atmosphere, almost like a canteen. They might still do some stuff to it though. Lets wait & see.

If i was going to do stuff, I'd do the stuff before I opened! I've not seen any promotion or an announcement that they were going to open today either, I think they have rushed it and maybe hadnt planned on opening today? I went past lateish yesterday evening and they were staff training - and quite a lot of staff there were too, so maybe they have big things planned!

Maybe they will rename it Moon

Not much of an atmosphere, bright on occasions, about to be eclipsed, had a few chaps turn up there in 1968 to remove 380 kg of rubble..

Said Gideon, looking sideways for the arrival of Dougal and Zeberdee..

Just been past again, no one in, they have put some menu boards up though, didnt have a proper look but I think they might do food as well as cake.

That place seriously needs something up on the walls. That huge expanse of glass allows all to peer in at... not a lot.

:o
ha ha, well what I actually meant was we already knew they do cake but it seems they do 'other' food as well.
On my next nosying mission I will stop and read what the board actually said - the only word I managed to catch on my way past was watercress!!
