Oh...just seen this post after ....Great queue control, I got to number 49 and it kicked me out ! Must have been damaging their response time stats !
Ta @Tiberius, my neighbours have just said they got it on a website somehow that there is a burst on Wildwood Drive ...and due to be fixed by 4th June
My other neighbour just come back from Co-op and said everyone is going mad buying water.
A chap I worked with once had someone chuck a pint of orange juice at him from a passing car, whilst he was out jogging. It was a really hot day and, by the time he got home it had dried and solidified, sticking his running kit to him to the extent that he was having trouble walking. He had to have a shower to soak things enough to get them off before he had his 'proper' shower...At least I had a shower and got my suncream off me before it went off. My neighbour has just come back from his run to find it off
Phew ! Thanks @gilesjuk that's a relief! The 4th June thing is just routine maintenance, someone spotted a small leak. It's rather surprising given they replaced all the pipes not that long ago.
Thanks @Tiberius Glad they know of the issue now.Just has text from Severn Trent

Bound to happen at some point...got a trickle back from the downstairs
No doubt due to all the wallies watering their grass.
You can water your plants / lawn so long as you use a hosepipe.
Theres no hosepipe ban in force .
