2 bedroomed terrace. 2 people living here. 1 toilet. Bath/shower. Washing machine and I'm the dishwasher. No hot tub, outside tap or hosepipe and I pay Severn Trent £24.04 a month. We have a meter. We live in a 3 bed house, 3 toilets, 2 showers, a bath, have 2 water butts and pay ST £20 a month....
So basically people with a meter are subsidising those without one. They should be mandatory for every property, then people would be more responsible with it.
Are you sure about metered properties subsidising unmetered ones?So basically people with a meter are subsidising those without one. They should be mandatory for every property, then people would be more responsible with it.
Good point. Are you sure about metered properties subsidising unmetered ones?
I’m not on a meter and pay over £500 a year. It seems like those with meters are paying less.

They are giving out bottled water at the co-op Wildwood car park. Not that they told anyone about that, I only realised as I went to the shop. Kinda flies in the face of the social distancing thing too.
No, any more than you can get your rated supply from somebody else.Just a thought with the water meter thing, we pay water rates and are happy with he price we pay but can you control the metered prices once you have a meter fitted? Is there more than one water supplier per area like swooping your energy provider?
on this we do agree @Carole .
ive spent over 3k on my outside areas ( not just plants though) .
if theres a ban i will abide by it , otherwise not a chance.
It was on the lunchtime TV news about it. Severn Trent saying it's people like us on higher ground in Stafford and Wolverhampton affected with no water .

Well it was an assumption (my bad), else why wouldn't everyone have a meter if it would save them money? I guess people prefer fixed costs or are suspicious of metering.
Turns out I was right to be suspicious of sons metering.Well it was an assumption (my bad), else why wouldn't everyone have a meter if it would save them money? I guess people prefer fixed costs or are suspicious of metering.
