Milkshakes and oatcakes.......hmmmmmm.

to be honest not a fan of oatcakes, nothing special about them. Wouldn't see them doing business here, I run staff of 15 people 2 from Stoke and those are the only 2 that rave or like oatcakes. Think its mostly a stoke thing.

You go on and on and on about people being negative when you think we should all be positive, and go on and on and on about encouraging new places in the town and supporting them and then you have the balls as a non-resident of Stafford to write this? Jeez

Personally I love the idea of this, and would rather spend my money on a freshly cooked oatcake than in those new chain junk foody places in the new 'shopping centre' :). Will visit soon and write a review!

Went a couple of days ago. Didn't seem as enjoyable as they've always been at the Stone shop, but I'm putting that down to new staff / learning curves etc. I'll be in there again no doubt within a week or so and keep my fingers crossed that they've found their feet a bit more.

Only small issues... the cutlery appeared dirty (just water marks from dishwasher or whatever) which i noticed someone else also grumbling about, the oatcakes weren't too bad but not quite as much cheese and too much of the other fillings we'd asked for (I always think that the cheese should make up for 50% of the filling) and the wife's hot chocolate was a tad on the watery side compared to what she gets at Stone.

Small issues and nothing more. Still perfectly consumable but with maybe a tad of room for slight improvement. Still   from me. I just love oatcakes. Yet I'm not from Stoke. There... I said it ;)

Depends on level of noise and availability of seats really mate. Like the Stone one, it does seem to get rammed at peak periods. When myself and the better half went it was around 70% occupied by students too with being closer to the college than McDonalds. ;)

Looks like it'll be the Vaults again then. Will try this place when I have proactive jr in tow.

Not in Stafford, in fact miles away at Pipegate, near Woore. But, there is a roadside butty van - calles Nikkis snack bar. They do delicious oatcakes. Fillings are very limited, cheese and bacon or onion etc. Very very nom nom tho.

Passed the Stafford location. Doing great business, which is excellent news. Daughter of mine posted a picture of one of their shakes with a huge slab of cake on top. I prefer my cake on a plate, I do understand shakes like these are popular with the young set.

went shopping in Ashbourne one day and saw a large pile of loose oatcakes in a butchers window. went in ordered half a dozen and the butcher licked his fingers before adding each one to our order.

Grandson & his mates went in 2 weeks ago on Saturday. Queued for 15 minutes to get to order only to be told there'd be a 45 minute wait for drinks & food. They went to maccy's & only had to wait 10 minutes for the fast food.
