Old matchboxes

After a couple of old wooden box type matchboxes, complete with matches.

Must have blank back (no ads etc)

Solid dark striking sides on both sides (no swan vesta or checkered types)

Cardboard box types are ok as long as they meet the above.

Are we to understand from these postings that you have succumbed to the ways of the Living of History?

You will need to unearth skills you did not think you possessed...

... like matchbox making. :)

You are correct. I have succumbed to those ways and I'm loving it!

I have acquired some rather lovely propaganda matchboxes which were quite expensive and certainly warrant keeping in the excellent condition they are in.

My aim is to make some repro ones by scanning the labels.
