Orange San Diego

I've never owned a smartphone and I don't "need" one but I have been successfully hypnotised by all the marketing bumpf floating around. My wife has a Samsung Galaxy II and is happy with it for the most part.

I barely use my current quota of texts or phone calls but, sadly, I saw the batman Lumina and thought I need a phone like Batman

I've just spoken to Orange and they said for my usage and to keep cost down to £15 ( I currently pay £14) per month I'd be best starting with an Orange San Diego and see where I go from there. I see Vault Girl had the San Fransicso but does anyone have any experience of a San Diego?

I've just read a couple of reviews which didn't seem too bad but, then again, I'm clueless about them anyway.

i don't know anyone who has the san diego, but like you i've read a few favourable reviews..

my sister was in a similar position to you - i.e. she's not that into smartphones/techology/etc. but wanted to get on the bandwagon, and didn't know where to start.. i recommended she get an HTC Wildfire S, which she did - i'm pretty sure she's on orange, and it only costs her about £15 per month all in (unlimited internet, loads of calls & texts) - and she's chuffed with it..

she's a complete luddite, and she likes it and can use it ok, so if you're not sure where to start then that might be a good "first smartphone" :)

Don't know much about the San Diego, but I do remember the San Fran getting rave reviews for a budget smartphone so if the San Diego is progressive on that, should be well worth it.
