Hello!

Does anyone know of the location of one of those funky machines that takes photos of you?

I need to have my drivers licence re-done today :(

Post office above WHSmiths does them, but they're expensive. As Rikki says, better off going to Jessops.

Also, ASDA did have a booth, but twice I've been and it's out of order.

There's also one at the station but its a bit pricey from memory.

I think Peter Rogers on Mill Street do them but I would guess they're a similar price to Jessops.

Had mine done at Peter Rogers for a fiver. More or less the same price as the photo booths and guaranteed to be acceptable standard. According to the post office as lot of those taken in photo booths are rejected for some reason or another.

We tried Jessops at the weekend and it was £10 for 6 photos and you could have different photos within that 6. Needless to say we didn't stay in there too long....

Did the WH Smiths one instead which was £5 for 5 but the touch screen seemed knackered so you just had to wait for it to time out and take them. Had to get it right first time...no going back! :)

Should have gone to Peter Rogers, think its about £6 for 4 photos and they will show you the photo before printing them.

Jessops is a big pile of poo. I ended up getting some photos done for my son last year as I was in the Trafford Centre when he told me he needed them for the next day. The photos made him look like he had red hair. A feat indeed considering he is dark haired.

I once held an International licence made of cardboard

Had it done on the A5 in the olden days when there was an AA Kiosk..

When I was a learner, I wanted to go to Ireland (in the 1970s) and so had to get one of theirs as well. I was explaining this to someone who happened to run a B&B which was largely populated by coppers on various courses. I made the mistake of telling her that I was having difficulty taking my motorbike to Ireland because "I was a Provisional" - it was worth it for the transient look on her face...

I also knew someone who, between a massive drink-driving crash and the subsequent ban being imposed, managed to get an International licence and, so, could still drive everywhere but here for the two years of the ban..

As mentioned by staffordjas, go to Peter Rogers on Mill St.

They made me look like Ming the Merciless on my photos.
I'm not complaining.

If he wants to be called that, then he will be.
