Perrin Memorial

On the way back from the football last night I noticed a brown sign for the 'Perrin Memorial' pointing off the roundabout onto the Redhill industrial estate. There was also signs at the motorway roundabout and Stone Road one. Does anyone know what this is?

The pilot during the war who crashed his plane in a field instead if attempting a controlled landing in Cresswell, thus saving many lives, although not his own sadly. According to that above it by the Pro logis building.

Yeah its for Captain John Perrin, not seen the memorial but there was some hype about it when th Prologis buildng was developed.

I happened to see a Creswell Parish Council newsletter yesterday - it is on the 8th of July this year, at 4pm, I believe.

Indeed, it is on Sunday 8 July at 4pm, at the memorial on Prime Point, which is just down passed Arnold Clarks, close to the Culina site.

Thanks, it was worth confirming the time. I had just had to remember it last night, when reading the newsletter to see if there was an Amenity Lorry event in the offing - then I forgot all about it until I happened to see a picture of another memorial just now.
