I'd like to see some kind of return for my 53p - or at current levels of consumption, around £132.50 per month, or £1590 per year.

Then again, I do quite enjoy smashing my car to bits on pot holes, or raised manhole covers. Also I can't get enough of the 427 traffic lights between my house and ASDA a mile away, or the roadworks helpfully conducted at peak times.

£1600 p.a. for all that is quite good value actually. Bargain!

This is a robbery in day light!!!! it is money makig machine for goverment,
i would like to se just 30% of this money spent on roads i think would improve a lot!
