@tek-monkey, you probably know that iD mobile use Three's network.
Looking at their coverage maps they reckon that you'll get excellent 4G coverage indoors and outdoors and good 5G coverage on your road.
Three's coverage map says I have excellent indoor and outdoor coverage in my house which definitely isn't the case most of the time!!! And the map has changed recently to show improved coverage.

Oh and check Three's deals. I looked at this one which looks similar to the package I'm on but is £15 cheaper

Been looking at some comparisons, really not sure about the camera on the pixel 7. I'm coming from the S21 Ultra, and camera is by far the main use I have, not sure if I'm going to regret losing the 10x telephoto. That said I can't justify over a grand for the S23 Ultra so...

You could also enquire about getting an Eric upgrade. A 10 year old version may be less prone to breaking your belongings but later teenage versions are more prone to long silent periods and will rarely operate outside of the bedroom

Screen replacement costs about £300 - £350! Can get a refurbed S21 Ultra for that, which is what I'm tempted to do. In fact for £350 I can get the 512Gb version, I already have a new otterbox case for it specifically because Eric is showing too much interest (which I annoyingly hadn't yet fitted!) so that may be the best option.

Sod it, ordered the 512Gb. I go away in less than 2 weeks and won't be happy without a good camera to use, my wife can then get this when I find a deal I'm happier with (as she was meant to get the one Eric broke!)

If you are rushed into replacing something, it's usually best to go with a like for like replacement.

Yeah, I knew I didn't know enough to make the decision so my default action is always back away. It's still 350 i really didnt want to spend right now but better that than stuck in a 2 year contract on a phone i dont like!
I may still get the Pixel, it's not much more than I already pay in airtime and it's monthly so no real shock now, in which case my wife gets a much earlier upgrade than expected. I just need to know I'm covered for the trip so no hasty decisions made because I'm running short on time for a replacement
