We need experienced pipe fitters/ pipe fabricators to work in a fabrication workshop in Aberdeen.
You will be fabricating pipework (carbon and stainless steel) in the workshop from isometric drawings within +/-1mm tolerances and tack welding. This is on going contract with immediate start.
Pay rates (umbrella):
Day shift: £15.24/ hr, overtime £22.86- £30.48/hr
Night shift: £20.70, overtime £28.76
You will receive £20/night as accommodation allowance.
Requirements:
•must be able to read isometric drawings.
• must have at least 2 year experience in pipe fabrication and pipe fitting in the fabrication shop.
• must be able to fit and fabricate pipework within +/- 1 mm tolerance
•must be able to tack weld and do burning
•must be able to use all tools to fabricate and tack weld pipelines
• must be able to do calculations to cut back sizes for bends and fittings
•candidates should have own basic tools: rule, level, hammer etc and overalls and safety boots.
